• Overview of purging compounds for various thermoplastic processing applications

Chem-Trend, a global market leader in the development and production of high-performance release agents, purging compounds and other specialised process chemicals, has released its new online catalogues of Ultra Purge™ products. These give interested parties a comprehensive overview of purging compounds for various applications. The five digital publications were presented at the Fakuma, the international trade fair for plastics processing.

“Plastics processors are reliant on high-performance purging compounds that meet the requirements of multiple materials, machines and applications. We are continuously developing our products to take into account individual requirements and with the Ultra Purge™ range, we have created the most efficient purging compounds. Our new digital catalogues now provide a comprehensive overview of all the available Ultra Purge™ products for packaging in the fields of food and healthcare, automotive components, extrusion applications, specialist applications and technical components,” says Tomasz Krause, European Business Director for Thermoplastics at Chem-Trend (Deutschland) GmbH.

By publishing the online catalogues, which are available here, Chem-Trend is responding to the increasing demand from customers and interested parties for more digital information. The digital format also means that the catalogues can be updated easily and are therefore always downloaded as the latest version. Links to supplementary information, like videos, case studies and articles on the technical background and on the specific application of the Ultra Purge™ products ensure greater clarity and offer added value.

The new digital Ultra Purge™ catalogues were presented at Fakuma 2021, the international trade fair for plastics processing, which took place from 12 to 16 October 2021 in Friedrichshafen. Chem-Trend had its own booth there. According to Chem-Trend, taking part in the trade fair was enormously useful – especially as a result of once again being able to meet with customers and interested people face to face.

“There is no substitute for being able to have face-to-face discussions with people. After a long time of communicating exclusively via online conferences, taking part in the Fakuma was extremely worthwhile. However, there is a preference for pure information to be provided online – which is why we are exclusively offering our catalogues virtually,” says Carola Teichmann, Head of Marketing Europe at Chem-Trend.

The company already has good experience with providing web-based information: For instance, its digital catalogue about Lusin^® mould maintenance products is regularly downloaded. This has now been supplemented by release agents and is available in nine languages.
